ABOUT ME

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and biology (St. Olaf College, USA), a Master’s Degree in Development Studies (Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK), and a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University, Canada).

In addition to my work in the mental health field, I also worked for over a decade in humanitarian aid and development work in conflict/post-conflict and emergency settings in several countries in Africa and also in Haiti. In my spare time I love to go horseback riding, practice yoga, spend time with my husband and our two children, and go for long walks in the forest with my dog.

Land Acknowledgment

I respectfully acknowledge that the land on which I live and work is the land of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Chonnonton People. My office is situation on the Haldimand Tract, land promised to the Six Nations, which includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. I also acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge, laws, and philosophies of the Indigenous Peoples with whom we share this land.
